The Abington Senior Community Center is managed by Telespond Senior Services, Inc. in conjunction with the Site Council Volunteers, a diverse group of Center members and community leaders and is funded in part under a contract with the Pennsylvania Department of Aging and the Lackawanna County Board of Commissioners through the Lackawanna County Area Agency on Aging.
The Center will be closed Monday, September 1, 2014 for the Labor Day holiday.
Please Note: Tuesday, September 2nd through Friday, September 5th, the Center will be under construction.
We are limiting activities to the new addition and outside patio area of the building only. Access to the building will be through the side entrance by the pool room. We ask everyone to use this entrance for all activities and meal pickup. All activities that normally take place in the new addition area will be held as normal. Main Hall activities will be cancelled for the week. The Noon meal will be available and boxed for take home or can be eaten on the patio area.
Our next 10 week watercolor painting class will be starting on Thursday, September 18th. The time will be 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. The cost is $80.00. All supplies are included. Call the center for more details.
